When We Becomes Me, one must realize that he/she has become a victim of success. A great example of this is SportsCenter co-hosts Michael Smith and Jemele Hill. This dynamic duo went from a podcast to two successful shows on ESPN, to being the lead SportsCenter anchors for ESPN's prime-time show. They often discussed future success on their previous platforms and how they would handle it. As many other great teams, they thought they had a winning formula to keep the team together. After a suspension of Michael's co-host Jemelle several months back in which Michael stood by her and refused to do the show without her or allow the network to replace her, Jemele inevitably announced that she was leaving the show several weeks ago bringing the dynamic duo's dominance to an end. Another one bites the dust!

Success, which can be similar to winning the lottery, doesn't always play out the way that one has planned. It's difficult to predict how people will respond to notoriety, pressure, and accomplishment. The people who walk into the success, are usually not present on the other side of success. But, you really can't blame people for the change. I mean we are all here to evolve right? Circumstances change which changes a person's day to day routine. Those new routines usually become centered around personal goals and projects. So as many lottery winners find out, obtaining success or wealth is not always what it seems to be looking from the outside inward.

There's beauty in the struggle, and ugliness in the success. Going through a struggle builds bonds, trust, and unity for a team. Being around individuals who are all working towards the same common goal is amazing. The struggle also prepares you for success as you are constantly tested. It's not always a good time while in pursuit of the elusive success achievement. Disagreements happen that cause separation, but if there aren't any egos present, bridges can be built over old problems. You are forced to be resourceful and utilize every available option you are presented with. You overcome obstacles that have buried many teams before you and actually capture lightning in a bottle. 

Then as the world has seen many times over and over again, the top is removed from the bottle and the energy is released back into the universe because everybody wants their own bottle of lightning that they earned solo. They have been Separated By Success! Tragic!
